But if they will not pass armed with you into the land of Chanaan, let them receive places to dwell in among you.

and if they do not pass over armed with you, then they have possessions in your midst in the land of Canaan.'

But if they do not go over with you armed, they will have to take their heritage with you in the land of Canaan.

But if they will not pass over with you armed to battle before the LORD, then you are to bring over their children and their wives and their flocks before you into the land of Canaan, and they are to have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.'

But if they are not willing to cross with you, armed, into the land of Canaan, then let them receive places among you for their dwellings."

Quod si non transierint accincti armis vobiscum, tum possessionem habebunt in medic vestri in terra Chenaan.

But if they will not pass over with you armed,.... Shall change their minds, and break their promise, and refuse to go over the river Jordan with the other tribes, and armed ready to engage in battle with the enemy:
they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan; take their lot there, but have no inheritance or possessions on this side Jordan.

They shall have possession - They shall forfeit their possessions in Gilead, and be constrained to go over Jordan, and to seek possessions there among their brethren.
