And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.

And that which was received they brought into the tabernacle of the testimony, for a memorial of the children of Israel before the Lord.

and Moses taketh, Eleazar the priest also, the gold from the heads of the thousands and of the hundreds, and they bring it in unto the tent of meeting, a memorial for the sons of Israel before Jehovah.

Then Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold given by the captains of thousands and captains of hundreds, and took it into the Tent of meeting, to be a sign in memory of the children of Israel before the Lord.

And having been accepted, they took it into the tabernacle of the testimony, as a memorial of the sons of Israel before the Lord.

Accepit inquam Moses et Eleazar sacerdos aurum a tribunis et centurionibus, et intulit illud in tabernaculum conventionis, in memoriam filiis Israel coram Jehova.

And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, [for] a (s) memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.
(s) that the Lord might remember the children of Israel.

And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds,.... Which they so freely and generously offered:
and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation; and laid it up in some chamber there:
for a memorial for the children of Israel before the Lord: in remembrance of the signal victory these men obtained, and of the singular care of divine Providence in protecting them, that not one was lost in the expedition; and of their sense of gratitude and thankfulness for the favours granted them, and to put the children of Israel in mind for their imitation, when favoured with mercies from the Lord.
